Some strange things are going on in alpha land.
I need to try it out before attemting to fix it.

Do you know an easy way to get gcc/binutil for alpha. Running amd64 here
on gentoo.
I used to use Dan Kegel crosstools but I lost them during a harddisk
crash over the Christmas.
