Hmm, not too keen on the Ubuntu naming scheme... is Dapper your
'testing' branch?  My setup is rather similar.  I'd be curious to know
if you do anything different from the debian initramfs-tools setup. 
Do you copy klibc to the kernel, and build a default initramfs in, or
just build a image to be specified by the boot loader?

Right now I do have something nice setup with 1.1.16, however, I'm
hesitant to "ship it" as they say, and it's mainly just a semantic
thing with 1.1.16 being "testing" and all.
