you are searching at the wrong places,
as i explicitly didn't use it or changed usage.

no,
ubuntu maintains it's own udev.
also Md is known as proponent of the -a and -o contruct.

anyway be realistic if you want to push that,
send a lintian/linda warning so that it can be worked on in some years..
