There's no such change in ordinary dash (debian package), though. Anyway,
I apologize for incorrect blaming.

That select (bottom of commit) can be a shell built-in with much more
flexibility in the klibc dash scripts, or any dash scripts, if that matter.
Introducing not compatible changes to bashizsm (bash have only seconds as
timeout) is rather bad decision.

Size, i hope you've saw functionality of my proposition; note 777 bytes
of not crypric script. I'd like to know what size of C will bring that
flexibility. The size win can be more, if all external commands will be
built-in in dash, there's interface of that (where e.g. `test` and
`printf` are connected). I don't know if there are any users of them,
except, maybe, system() in perl. :)
